The EORI number consists of two parts: the country code of the issuing member state followed by unique number or code. Which type of EORI number you should use depends on where you’re moving goods to and from.

For example, if you move goods to or from Great Britain you must get an EORI number that starts with GB. (For example: GB243567834900)

If you’re moving goods to or from Northern Ireland you should get an EORI number starting with XI. Not having correct EORI number can create delays in your consignment to be released by customs department.
